| Applications are closing on 24th May for Magnum's Professional Practice seminars, delivering guidance and advice for photographers on the practical business of photography. This event allows photographers to extend their professional networks with an emphasis on meeting and learning from industry contacts. Professional Practice helps to identify realistic entry routes into employment and paid opportunities, from a wide variety of sectors including advertising, editorial, NGO, publishing and rights management. Each speaker will deliver an hour's presentation on their area of expertise, with plenty of time for questions and informal discussion. This event is aimed a wide range of photographers at different stages of their careers: from emerging photographers requiring an understanding of industry protocol, to professional photographers wishing to expand their contacts. Confirmed speakers are: Fiona Rogers (Cultural and Education Manager at Magnum Photos), Anna Stevens (Head of Multimedia at Panos Pictures), Anne Bourgeois-Vignon (Senior Commissioning Editor at Nowness), Stuart Smith (Designer and Co-founder at GOST books), Mark Power (Magnum photographer), Zoe Whishaw (commercial photography consultant), and Sophie Wright (Cultural and Print Room Director at Magnum Photos).
