Benjamin Franklin—one of America's most fascinating and colorful historic figures—was born 309 years ago this Saturday, January 17. Franklin was many things: Founding Father, inventor, scientist, ambassador, abolitionist, philosopher, printer, librarian, writer, fireman, military commander, businessman: the list goes on. His accomplishments touch on almost every subject taught in grade school. Accordingly, here are some resources for students and teachers. There's something for (almost) everyone:
